<<1>The choice of oxidant is paramount to the color result.

All oxidative coloring products are composed of two elements: the first is alkaline and contains the intermediates (color precursors, the tube) which color the hair; the second is represented by the oxidizing emulsion (oxidant).

A few minutes before coloring, the two components are mixed: following a chemical reaction, they create the coloring mixture.

Depending on the desired lightening, we will vary the percentage of hydrogen peroxide contained in the oxidants, depending on the natural base to obtain the desired color.

I'm staying the same tone, that means I'm not lightening my hair, we'll be using 10 Volumes (3%).

I lighten 1 to 2 tones, we will use 20 volumes (6%)

I lighten from 2 to 4 tones, we will use 30 volumes (9%)

To lighten from 4 to 6 tones, we will use oxidation colorings called super lightening and we will work them at 40 volumes (12%)

A small example, I am light brown (n°5) and my choice of color fell on n°8 (light blond), I will use a 30 volume oxidant, since I have a difference of 3 heights of tones .

What is my natural base?

On the coloring tubes, the first number indicates the natural base. It is according to this number that the oxidant to be used is determined.
